The team at EPIX asked Big Spaceship to create a contest to generate excitement in anticipation of the release of Anchorman 2. Our team came up with “I am Ron Burgundy”, a contest that invited fans to submit their best impressions of the man himself via Instagram. The site we created, showcased the best of the best “Rons” and allowed you to vote for your favorites and keep track on a live leaderboard.
We wanted to give the site an Anchorman 2 look together with Epix branding. We merged retro and shiny gold to achieve that effect.
A Call for Entries
To launch the competition, we got David Kouchner as Chimp Kind to announce it. It added more excitement among the fans and demonstrated how people can get creative at impersonating Ron Burgundy.
